We do not fix your child's drawing
Most things that redraw children's art quietly correct it. They straighten the legs, even out the eyes, and hand back a creature the child does not recognise. We do the opposite.
Before anything is painted, we write down exactly what is on the page. Three legs, if there are three. One arm longer than the other, if that is how it went. Those notes go into every single picture, so the creature on page eleven is still the one your child invented.

Wobblewick has three legs, and not one of them has ever walked in the same direction. This is why he is always slightly late, and why he arrives from somewhere nobody expected. On the morning Maya finds him, he is standing in the long grass behind the shed, grinning at a sun he has drawn himself. “You are the one,” he says, “who gave me the curly arm.”

Plainly stated
How the paintings are made
The portraits are produced using AI image tools, directed by a written description of your child's actual drawing. We are telling you this in large type, on the page, because you deserve to know before you spend anything, and because plenty of companies would rather you did not ask.
What we will never do is imply a person sat down and painted it by hand. The original drawing is the source and the star. Everything we make points back to it. The longer version is our AI policy.
Questions people actually ask
Before you send us anything
My child's drawing is a scribble. Will this work?
Usually yes, and scribbles often turn out best. If what comes back does not look like what your child drew, tell us and you get your money back. If we genuinely cannot read the drawing, we will say so rather than invent something.
How long does it take?
Meeting the character is instant and free. The painted portrait arrives the same evening. The picture book takes up to two days. A printed hardcover ships within a week.
What if we do not like it?
Write to us and we refund it, including the printed book. You do not have to send anything back, and you can keep the files.
Can I use the painting on a birthday invitation or a t-shirt?
Yes. It is your child's character and you can do what you like with it personally, including printing it. We only ask that you do not resell the artwork itself as stock art.
Do you need my child's real name?
Only a first name, only so it can appear in the story, and only if you want it there. Leave it blank and the story simply says “the child”.
Do I have to make an account?
No. Meeting the character needs nothing at all. Ordering needs an email address so we have somewhere to send the files.
